How are new UNIVERSAL PRESS CREDENTIALS different from previous press credentials?

The new credentials provide vital high security information required by press officials and law enforcement while protecting the photographers identity. In addition to the press passport, badge and wallet cards, new security items include a Correspondent's Arm Band, a personally coded Auto Press ID Badge plus the all new image building, embroidered A.I.N.S. patch.

Where can I actually see the Universal Press Credentials?

We have not published the universal credentials for security reasons. This is to stop counterfeiters and "wanna be groups" from copying our program details and press credential design which have been recognized internationally for more than 22 years.

Why are Universal Press Credentials important?

Presenting exactly the same credentials is vital for A.I.N.S. Correspondents to be accepted and recognized around the world. That means that all A.I.N.S. photographers present exactly the same credentials and accessories no matter where they appear for an assignment.

What happens to photographers who currently hold Gold Press Credentials?

The Gold Press credentials that have a valid expiration date will continue to be honored and supported. and A.I.N.S. credentials will be honored as in the past until they expire.

What happens to photographers who currently hold A.I.N.S. Credentials?

AI News Service credentials that have a valid expiration date will continue to be honored and supported.

Who qualifies for the new Universal Press Credentials?

All current holders of the Gold Press Credentials and/or A.I.N.S. Correspondents may apply for the Universal Credentials. Because of the extraordinary success of the A.I.N.S. program it is apparent that current members of the Gold Press program should be rolled into the AI Program as quickly and efficiently as possible.
