Your Sweepstakes entry, once received, will be considered for more than one issue if kept on file. Entries will be returned ONLY if a proper self-addressed envelope with correct postage is included with your submission. Submission of your entry gives Today's Photographer magazine one-time rights to publish your story and photos. Only one of the published entries will receive the $500 Sweepstakes Prize in each issue.

Who Can Enter?

The Editor's Sweepstakes is open to any IFPO MEMBER-SUBSCRIBER of Today's Photographer. If you are not a member, you may participate by sending your IFPO MEMBERSHIP either with your Sweepstakes Entry or any time prior to sending in your entry.

What Makes A Good Editorial Submission?

First you should have quality photos to illustrate your story. Then review recent issues of Today's Photographer for editorial content to see if your story "fits." Your submission should be an interesting and factual story about your activities as a photographer. We want those step by step experiences, how to make money, operate with clients, find assignments, gain recognition or how to do anything else successfully. Your story should appeal to photographers. If you are unsure, the following information may be helpful:

Feature articles usually focus on how to make money or gain access to important events. If you have been published or accomplished anything else noteworthy, your story could be a feature.

On Assignment is a forum for you to share your expertise in any aspect of photography and be recognized for your knowledge and business savvy. Frequent topics include how to start or expand a business, protect your rights or copyrights, work with clients, and take advantage of opportunities.

Tech Tips allow you to write about special uses of equipment, supplies or processes. Unusual ideas, practical techniques and "build your own" projects work well. Reader Tips is for the "too good to keep" tips on anything that works for you.

Maybe you have a story with a different slant - enter it. You may inspire us to expand our editorial range. Enter the Editor's Sweepstakes even if you have never made a submission before. The sweepstakes is another way for us to reward our readers who share a special bond in their passion for succeeding as photographers ... and making money. Again, our resolution is to support that effort in every issue and to make sure that Today's Photographer "works" for you.
