"The educational and certification programs that IFPO members can now pursue will elevate the perceived level of professionalism of our organization." Peter Potter

PRESS RELEASE:

Peter Potter, Motorsports Editor for Today's Photographer International and creator of Winning Strategies Workshops for Motorsports Photography will join the faculty of the Creative Photographic Art Center of Maine (CPACM) for the 1997-1998 Summer of Education.

"An educational branch of the International Freelance Photographer Organization is an idea whose time has come," said Potter. "I am thrilled

to be part of the process. The educational and certification programs that our members can now pursue will elevate the perceived level of professionalism of our organization. The rigorous and independent certification standards will provide a valuable market advantage for those who achieve them."

Peter Potter created the unique Winning Strategies Motorsports Workshops in 1992. Students investigate the commercial, technical and aesthetic aspects of motorsports photography in an exciting racing atmosphere at major motor sports events. The students enjoy press access at America's most competitive road race circuit, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. In September of 1992 Potter joined the staff of Today's Photographer International as Motorsports Editor and writes a column on motorsports photography for each issue and coordinates motor sports assignments with a network of correspondents and Winning Strategies Workshop Alumni.
