This photography program will prepare students for positions in a wide variety
of fields including print media, commercial photography and photographic
developing and industrial photography firms, multimedia companies and television
studios. CPACM offers a two-tier curriculum to meet the needs of both traditional
and non-traditional students. This Certificate Program is designed primarily
for induviduals interested in acquiring professional photographic skills
in an accelerated fashion. However, students may take up to but no more
than three (3) years to complete the program containing thirty credit hours
of study.
Students wishing to obtain a two-year Associates in Applied Arts Degree
are required to complete additional course requirements through the University
of Maine at Augusta.
Students must complete Pho001 Photo One prior to beginning the Certificate
Program, although this requirement may be waived by the Dean of Faculty
if the student demonstrates an above average knowledge of photography.

Program Goals
Portfolio Requirements
If a student does not posess a portfolio, the Residency Placement Program
(RPP) must be attended. In the RPP, the student will build upon the skills
brought to the school and develop a portfolio.
